Parts built to drawing — on repeat.
Steamrinse is a contract manufacturer for precision components and light assembly — documented quality control, DFM feedback before tooling commits, and delivery performance you can put into a supplier scorecard.
What we do
Precision parts and contract manufacturing with documented quality at every step.
CNC machining
Three- and four-axis milling and turning with full materials traceability and first-article inspection reports issued before production release. Tolerances are confirmed against the feature drawing, not estimated from a model, and SPC data is available for critical dimensions on request. Mill certifications are stored and retrievable for every lot.
Assembly & kitting
Sub-assemblies with documented torque logs, lot control, and packaging to your specification — not a box labelled with a part number and a wish. Assembly instructions are written and revision-controlled so output is consistent across shifts and operators. Incoming component inspection is documented before assembly begins.
Prototype to production
DFM review on prototype drawings before you commit to hard tooling, identifying features that will add cost or cycle time without adding function. We note assumptions, flag tolerance interactions, and provide a rough production cost estimate at prototype stage so your engineering team can optimise before volume. Prototype lead times are quoted honestly, not optimistically.
Quality & metrology
CMM programming, gauge repeatability and reproducibility studies, and PPAP support documented to the level your customer requires. Our quality team writes control plans and PFMEAs for new parts and maintains calibration records for all measuring equipment. Nonconformances are documented, contained, and root-caused — not just reworked and shipped.
How the work runs
A clear path from first conversation to delivered work.
Quote & feasibility
Drawing review, material availability check, and lead-time commitment — issued in writing within five business days.
First article
Inspection report against every ballooned dimension before production release — deviations flagged and dispositioned, not hidden.
Production & ship
Lot traceability on every box, COC on request, and on-time delivery tracked against the purchase order date.
In their words
What people notice after the work is in.
“PPAP landed first submission. Their traveler matched our audit checklist line for line.”
Brian Kowalski
Supply chain manager
“DFM feedback saved us two machining operations on a bracket we had over-specified. They caught it before we ordered raw stock.”
Lisa Park
Product engineer
FAQ
Straight answers to the questions we hear most.
Aluminium alloys, steel, stainless steel, and common engineering plastics as standard. Titanium, Inconel, and other exotics are quoted per job with mill certification requirements and cycle time confirmation before pricing is released. We do not quote from assumption on difficult materials.
Prototype quantities are welcome — we do not require production minimums for first orders. Volume price breaks are documented on repeat purchase orders so you can plan cost reduction into your BOM over time.
Our quality system is aligned to ISO 9001 practices and we operate to those principles consistently. A scope certificate is available under NDA. Specific customer flow-down requirements — PPAP levels, statistical methods, control plan formats — are assessed on enquiry and confirmed before contract.
Yes. We sign NDAs before reviewing drawings and maintain design files under access controls restricted to the team working the job. Customer IP is not retained in CAM systems after a part is superseded or a relationship ends.
